ALFI celebrated its 30th anniversary on 26 September 2018 with key industry persons and long-standing companions. Hear their birthday wishes.

On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) declared its commitment to work alongside stakeholders in Luxembourg to enable citizens to better understand and manage personal finances, in a context of rapid technological, economic and societal change. A dedicated session at the ALFI Global Distribution Conference provided an opportunity for representatives from the government, education, finance, business and the media to explore ways of closing the financial education gap in the Grand Duchy.

In our view, financial education is an essential skill that can make a crucial difference in people’s lives. It serves as the foundation for financial well-being, entrepreneurship, social mobility and inclusive growth. Besides, financial literacy can empower new generations of investors to take full advantage of an increasingly digitalised financial landscape.

To help citizens grasp these opportunities, public and private decision-makers should provide them with the means to take responsibility for their savings, think about their long-term projects and retirement needs, and invest in a better world for their children.

Join us on 26 September at 5 pm for a festive session that we expect to be lively, fun and highly inspiring!

Kindly note that you need to be registered for the ALFI Global Distribution Conference in order to participate in the birthday celebrations.
