Sandra Crowl graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (Economics) from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and is a Charterholder of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analysts Association (CAIA). She founded the first part of her career in Investment Banking, at Bankers Trust in Australia, Paris, and then London, where she was a Managing Director. In 2003, moving into the funds management industry, she worked in hedge fund seeding at New Alpha Advisers, in Paris. In 2007, she joined Carmignac as Head of Product. Since 2011, she is a Member of the Investment Committee and heads up the Socially Responsible Investing initiative at Carmignac. ESG: Actions speak louder than wordsThe European Commission is picking up speed on the implementation of the EU Action Plan on Financing Sustainable Growth. First concrete regulatory proposals were published in May and have made good progress since. Further items are in the pipeline, with experts appointed to work out the technical details and industry consultations circulating… As sustainable finance is becoming a reality in the EU, asset managers are getting ready to lead the way.
