Dr Henrik Pontzen joined Union Investment’s portfolio management in January 2019 leading its ESG department.
Prior to that, Henrik worked ten years for HSBC in various roles (Head of Business Risk Control Management in Germany and seven other European countries, Head of Custody Sales – Insurances and Asset Managers Germany, Head of Institutional Client Group Germany) and as a consultant for Capco.
Since 2016, he is a board member of DVFA (German Association for Asset Management/Investment Professionals).
Henrik studied philosophy, economics and history in Bonn and Copenhagen and has been a lecturer at various German universities (LMU Munich, University of Wuppertal), currently at the University of Cologne, Witten/Herdecke University and the IREBS at the University of Regensburg.
