Sabine Otto is seconded to the Securities Markets Unit of the Directorate‑General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union at the European Commission. Her thematic focus is on investor protection related aspects of MiFID II. Before joining the European Commission in summer 2018, she was a Financial Services Attachée at the German Permanent Representation in Brussels where she covered several files related to the Capital Markets Union. Ms Otto joined the cross-sectoral International Department at the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) in 2011 after her bar examination.
