Sean Tuffy
Sean Tuffy, Head of Market and Regulatory Intelligence , Citi

Sean Tuffy is the Head of Market and Regulatory Intelligence for Citi’s Custody & Fund Services (CFS) business. Sean leads a team responsible for analyzing and articulating the impact of the global market and regulatory developments of strategic interest to CFS’s clients.‎

Based in Dublin, Sean has 20 years of experience in the cross-border fund industry. He joined Citi in 2017, prior to which he worked at Brown Brothers Harriman where he was the Head of Strategy for Europe and Asia. Additionally, Sean established and oversaw BBH’s Global Regulatory Intelligence discipline, including founding the well respected “On The Regs” regulatory blog. Sean is an active participant in key industry forums. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and appears regularly in the financial press discussing the impact of global regulatory developments on the asset management industry. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Mary Washington.

Manfred Dietrich, Partner, Norton Rose Fulbright

Manfred Dietrich is a financial services lawyer based in Luxembourg. He is the investment funds and regulatory partner in the Luxembourg Office. Manfred advises clients on setting-up, restructuring, marketing, operation and liquidation of Luxembourg investment funds and vehicles. He also advises managers, depositaries and service providers in the funds sector on the structuring, setting-up and operation of their Luxembourg entities. Manfred is furthermore involved in advising EU and non-EU investment managers on the implementation and compliance with the EU AIFM Directive in Luxembourg. Manfred is regular speaker on Luxembourg Fund and Asset Management topics and a member of the Real Estate Investment Funds (REIF) Sub Committee at ALFI. He is the main author of the sole commentary on Luxemburg investment funds laws.

François-Kim Hugé, Partner, Fund Registration Services, Deloitte Luxembourg

François-Kim is a partner within the advisory & consulting department. He is currently in charge for running the Fund Registration Services, incl. the KIID Factory and AIFMD Notification Services. He has gained a broad experience in the finance industry thanks to a variety of roles, especially in the fund industry: operations management, change management, people management, information systems, risks and controls. He also contributed to a number of consulting projects across the fund business.

Catherine Martougin, Partner, Baker & McKenzie Luxembourg

Catherine is a partner in the Funds & Asset Management team of the Baker McKenzie Luxembourg office.

She has more than 20 years’ experience in business law with a specialization in funds matters.

 

Catherine represents real estate funds, private equity funds, debt and infrastructure funds and other financial institutions. She works on a range of corporate and commercial transactions, including organizational structuring of investment funds and related regulatory matters (notably AIFs and AIFMs), as well as initial fund formation, migration of off-shore funds to Luxembourg, complex restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, asset dispositions, secondary trades, capital raisings, real estate investments, venture capital investments, and joint venture arrangements.

 

Catherine is a member of the Management Board of INREV (the prime industry association for real estate funds) and a member of the Supervisory Board of LuxReal. Member of ALFI, IBA, LetzBlock and Women In Business.
