AGENDA – Spanish version

Luxembourg, the world’s most efficient global fund distribution platform with a robust market infrastructure, is the place to be for Latam asset managers wishing to sell their investment funds in Europe and on a global scale.

Today with more than 2,000 UCITS registered for sale to institutional investors, Chilean pension funds have heavily invested into Luxembourg-domiciled funds for several years now. Of course, the advantages offered by Luxembourg are of interest also to other types of investors. Markets such as Mexico or Brazil assess opportunities outside their borders and bring new asset classes to the table.

Invited at the latest ALFI Global Distribution Conference, held in September in Luxembourg, Laura Gonzales, Head of Iberia and Americas at Allfunds spoke about the evolving regulatory framework in certain Latin American markets and the new business opportunities that arise for investors.

What Luxembourg has to offer

By investing in Luxembourg funds, investors gain access to international diversification in a safe, well-regulated environment. The investment spectrum covered by Luxembourg funds ranges from traditional equity, bond and money market funds to sophisticated alternative investment strategies that are sometimes reserved to professional or well-informed investors. Further to this, the multiple-compartment funds offer investors the flexibility to easily switch from one investment strategy to another.
