Martin Dobbins, a former CEO for European and Luxembourg Banks, acts as an independent director and FinTech advisor and has over 30 years of international experience in the financial industry. Martin is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in financial management, treasury, regulations, acquisitions, client integration and new business development. His specialist knowledge is in compliance, risk, and operations for UCITS and Alternatives structures. He has led the design and development of number of successful regulatory and financial applications. Before joining TRINOVA, Martin was the CEO & Country Head for State Street Bank Luxembourg and chaired the country executive group. He was the lead executive to the European Central Bank’s Joint Supervisory Team. Until 2007 was the EMEA Regional Director for State Street Europe responsible for the transformation strategy & outsourcing. Martin was the first COO for State Street Bank Luxembourg with responsibility for the Luxembourg and Belgium groups. He was the Director of Operations & Technology and a member of the executive board for State Street GmbH in Munich, Germany. He began his career in Boston, Massachusetts for State Street Corp. in the Mutual Funds and Institutional business groups and then in the Technology Development group. He has had assignments in Boston, Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Munich, London and Luxembourg. Martin holds a BS/BA in Finance & Banking and an Executive MBA from Suffolk University, Boston, MA USA. He recently completed a certification program in Strategy & Innovation from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, Cambridge MA USA. He has held a number of board and committee chair positions in ALFI (Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry) and ABBL (Luxembourg Bankers Association) and is well known in the industry as Chairperson for the Luxembourg Depository Banks representing the Luxembourg financial service industry at the European level on regulatory matters.
